Train to York

York is the central hub of railways in the North East of England, with the East Coast Mainline between Edinburgh and London passing straight through the city. The station is situated on the edge of the city centre (10 minute walk to the Minster), making rail travel the easiest way to reach York for most visitors.

On the train, York is approximately 2 hours from London, 2 hours 40 minutes from Edinburgh, 1 hour from Newcastle, 20 minutes from Leeds, 90 minutes from Manchester and 1 hour from Scarborough.
